The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is just a bit better than Sony Xperia 5 II, getting a global score of 95.4 against 87.2. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra body is newer, but notably heavier and somewhat thicker than the Sony Xperia 5 II. The Xperia 5 II has a bit superior CPU than Galaxy S22 Ultra. Both have 8 CPU cores and the same RAM memory amount.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has a better looking display than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a better resolution of 1440 x 3088 pixels, a little higher pixel density and a little bigger display. The Galaxy S22 Ultra takes much better photographs and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for shooting pictures or videos in low light environments, it also counts with a lot bigger sensor which provides a much higher image and video quality, a much higher 7680x4320 video resolution and a camera in the back with a lot better resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra features greater battery life than Xperia 5 II, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.

Galaxy S22 Ultra is way more expensive than the Xperia 5 II, but it's still a great deal, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
