The Xperia 5 II construction is a lot newer than the Galaxy S6 Edge's, but it is just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier. The Galaxy S6 Edge has just a bit better processing power than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a graphics processor and a 64-bit CPU.
