Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is just a bit better than Sony Xperia 5 II, with a 94.6 score against 87.2. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 construction is thinner but incredibly heavier than Sony Xperia 5 II, and they were only released with a few months difference. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a bit more vivid screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2520, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixel number in each inch in the display.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a little faster CPU than Xperia 5 II, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Xperia 5 II has just a bit better camera than Galaxy Z Fold 2, and although they both have a 12 MP back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia 5 II also has higher 120 frames per second video frame rates, a larger aperture to take better low-light photography and a larger camera sensor.
Xperia 5 II has a better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has just 128 GB internal memory, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1000 GB. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 counts with a bit better battery performance than Xperia 5 II, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.
Although Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia 5 II, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia 5 II. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
