The Xperia 5 II is slightly better than the Xperia XZ2 Premium, with a general score of 87.2 against 82.2. The Xperia 5 II is a notably newer device, and it's also much lighter and noticeably thinner than the Xperia XZ2 Premium. The Xperia XZ2 Premium's processing unit is very similar to the Sony Xperia 5 II one, and although the Xperia XZ2 Premium has lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with an incredibly better display than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution and a lot higher count of pixels per inch of display. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a bit better camera than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a lower (4K) video quality and a much less mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a lot larger back-facing camera sensor and a bigger aperture to take better low light photos.

The Xperia 5 II has much more memory for applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a slot for external memory cards that holds up to 1000 GB and 64 GB more internal storage. The Sony Xperia 5 II features just a bit longer battery performance than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity instead of 3540mAh.
