Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, getting an 87.2 score against 77.2. The Xperia 5 II design is newer, a bit thinner and somewhat lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has a bit sharper display than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the display and a little lower 1080 x 2280 resolution, it also counts with a little bit larger screen.
The Xperia 5 II counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 II also has a higher amount of RAM. Xperia 5 II has a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory.
Sony Xperia 5 II features a superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, and although they both have a camera with a 12 mega pixels resolution, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has a lot larger back camera sensor providing a way higher image quality, a way better video resolution and a bigger aperture to capture better photography and videos in low light situations.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and Sony Xperia 5 II feature quite similar batteries.
