Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 II is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, getting a score of 87.2 against 81.1. The Sony Xperia 5 II construction is extremely lighter and somewhat thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, even when they were released with only a couple of months difference. Xperia 5 II features just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little better screen pixels density and a bit higher 1080 x 2520px resolution.
Xperia 5 II counts with a much bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because it has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 1000 GB and more internal memory. The Xperia 5 II has just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 II also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro captures much better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and videos and lower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same camera sensor size, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a camera in the back with a way higher 64 mega pixels resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has better battery duration than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, resigning some specs and features.
