Comparison review

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G is a little bit better than Sony Xperia 5 III, having a general score of 90.5 against 90.5. Both devices in this review use Android OS, but Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G has the previous 10 version while Sony Xperia 5 III has Android 11. Although it's the best cellphone we are comparing here, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G body is older, somewhat heavier and just a bit thicker than Sony Xperia 5 III.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G's processor is very similar to the Xperia 5 III one, they have a 8 GB RAM and the same number of cores. The Sony Xperia 5 III has a bit sharper screen than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, because although it has a quite smaller display and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2520px, it also counts with a just a little higher display pixels density.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has slower video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a 0.59 inches back-facing camera sensor, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G also counts with a bigger aperture to take better low-light photography and a camera with much more megapixels.

Xperia 5 III counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G, and although they both have the same 256 GB internal memory, the Xperia 5 III also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. Sony Xperia 5 III and Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G feature very similar batteries duration.
