Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 III is a little bit better than Huawei P40, having a global score of 90.5 against 86.4. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 5 III has a more recent 11 version while Huawei P40 has Android 10 version, so it provides the user a couple additional features. Sony Xperia 5 III is a newer phone, and it's also a bit lighter and a bit thinner than the Huawei P40.
Huawei P40's processor is just as good as the processor in Xperia 5 III, and although the Huawei P40 has lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Sony Xperia 5 III features a bit better screen than Huawei P40, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Sony Xperia 5 III also has a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520px.
Xperia 5 III counts with a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Huawei P40, because it has an external memory card slot that admits up to 1 TB and 128 GB more internal memory. Xperia 5 III features just a little better battery duration than Huawei P40, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 captures much clearer photos and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for taking pictures and/or video in low-light environments and slower 60 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor providing a lot better image quality and a much more mega pixels back camera.
