Comparison review
The Sony Xperia 5 III has a score of 90.5, which is slightly better than the Huawei P40 Pro's 88.2 global score. These devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Sony Xperia 5 III has a more recent 11 version and Huawei P40 Pro has Android 10 version. The Sony Xperia 5 III is a newer phone, and it is also lighter and a little thinner than Huawei P40 Pro.
Huawei P40 Pro and Sony Xperia 5 III feature very similar displays, because although the Huawei P40 Pro has a quite lower pixels density, it also counts with a slightly higher 1200 x 2640 resolution and a little bit bigger display. Sony Xperia 5 III has a much bigger storage to install games and applications than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has 128 GB more internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that admits up to 1 TB.
The Huawei P40 Pro and Xperia 5 III have extremely similar processors, both of them have the same number of cores and a 8 GB RAM. Huawei P40 Pro takes much better photos and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has slower 60 fps video frame rate and a tinier aperture which is not nice for capturing images and/or video in low-light environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a camera in the back with lot more megapixels and a way bigger sensor capturing lot better quality pictures.
The Xperia 5 III counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei P40 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4200mAh.
