Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 III has an overall score of 90.5, which is much better than TCL 20 Pro 5G's global score of 76.1. Even when Sony Xperia 5 III and TCL 20 Pro 5G were only released with a couple months difference, Sony Xperia 5 III is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner. Both phones in this review come with the same Android 11 OS (Operating System).
Sony Xperia 5 III features a bit sharper screen than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher number of pixels in each display inch and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520. The TCL 20 Pro 5G and Xperia 5 III have incredibly similar memory for applications and games, both of them have equal internal storage and a SD card slot that allows up to 1 TB.
Xperia 5 III has just a little better performance than TCL 20 Pro 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia 5 III also has more RAM. TCL 20 Pro 5G captures just a bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has worse video frame rate, a smaller camera aperture which is worse for capturing photographs in low light environments and a smaller back camera sensor taking lower quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same video quality, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also counts with a lot better 48 megapixels resolution camera in the back.
The Sony Xperia 5 III and the TCL 20 Pro 5G both have similar battery performance.
