Comparison review
Galaxy S7 has an overall score of 79.5, which is a little bit better than the Xperia 5 IV's 73.3 score. The Galaxy S7 is a lighter and a little thinner phone than Xperia 5 IV. Galaxy S7 has a really superior hardware performance than Xperia 5 IV, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM memory and less cpu cores (although they are faster).
Samsung Galaxy S7 features an incredibly better display than Xperia 5 IV, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a better pixels density and a bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px. The Sony Xperia 5 IV counts with a much better memory capacity for games and applications than Galaxy S7, because it has more internal storage capacity and an external SD slot that supports up to 1 TB.
The Sony Xperia 5 IV features a way better battery lifetime than Galaxy S7, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S7 has a greater camera than Sony Xperia 5 IV, although it has a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor giving a much lower image quality, they both have a 12 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back.
