Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS, but Samsung Rugby Smart has the previous 2.3.5 version and Xperia E1 has Android 4.4. Samsung Rugby Smart is an older and a bit thicker phone than the Xperia E1, but Samsung made it just a little bit lighter anyway.

The Samsung Rugby Smart counts with a bit more vivid screen than Sony Xperia E1, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 800 x 480px, the Samsung Rugby Smart also counts with a quite greater pixel density. Samsung Rugby Smart's storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos is just as good as Xperia E1's one, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 32 GB and equal internal memory.

The Sony Xperia E1 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Rugby Smart, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Sony Xperia E1 also has a greater number of cores (although they are slower) and an extra GPU. Sony Xperia E1 counts with a little better battery duration than Samsung Rugby Smart, because it has a 1750mAh battery size.

The Samsung Rugby Smart counts with a greater camera than Xperia E1, because it has a way more megapixels back-facing camera.

Samsung Rugby Smart not only is the best devices of the ones in this comparison, but it's also a bargain compared to others.
