Both devices in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Nokia 4.2 has the newer 10 version and Xperia E3 has Android 4.4. Nokia 4.2's body has the same thickness than Xperia E3, but it's heavier.

The Nokia 4.2 has a bit better processor than Xperia E3, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores (and they are faster). Xperia E3 has a little more vivid screen than Nokia 4.2, although it has a way smaller screen, way less pixels per screen inch and a lot lower resolution of 854 x 480.

The Nokia 4.2 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Xperia E3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Nokia 4.2 also has a back facing camera with a lot higher resolution. Nokia 4.2 has much more storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia E3, because it has 32 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 400 GB.
