Moto G4 Plus has a score of 72.1, which is much better than the Xperia Ion's score of 61.3. Although the Moto G4 Plus is a little heavier than the Xperia Ion, it's a little bit thinner and also much newer. The Motorola Moto G4 Plus features just a bit better processing power than Xperia Ion, because it has a greater number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

Xperia Ion has a slightly better screen than Moto G4 Plus, although it has a just a bit inferior quantity of pixels per screen inch, a way worse resolution of 1280 x 720px and a bit smaller display. Moto G4 Plus features a superior memory to store more games and applications than Xperia Ion, because it has an external memory slot that admits up to 128 GB and more internal memory.

Motorola Moto G4 Plus has a much longer battery duration than Sony Xperia Ion, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity. The Moto G4 Plus features a lot better camera than Sony Xperia Ion, and although they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Moto G4 Plus also has a much more megapixels back facing camera.

The Moto G4 Plus costs a bit more money than the Xperia Ion, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
