Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi 4a is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia Ion, having a global score of 65.8 against 61.3. The Xiaomi Redmi 4a body is noticeably newer, just a little lighter and a lot thinner than Sony Xperia Ion. Both of these phones work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Redmi 4a has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version while Sony Xperia Ion has Android 4.1.2 version, so it gives you some nice extra features.
Sony Xperia Ion counts with a sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi 4a, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 720px, the Sony Xperia Ion also counts with a bit better pixel density. Xiaomi Redmi 4a has a better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia Ion, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi 4a also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4a features a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia Ion, because it has a greater amount of RAM memory and more CPU cores. The Xiaomi Redmi 4a has a much longer battery performance than Xperia Ion, because it has 3120mAh of battery capacity instead of 1900mAh. Xiaomi Redmi 4a has a way better camera than Sony Xperia Ion, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi 4a also has a back facing camera with more mega-pixels.
