Comparison review

HTC One M9 has a score of 77.7, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia L4's 71.8 global score. Although the HTC One M9 is noticeably older and somewhat thicker than the Sony Xperia L4, it's design is still lighter. Both phones in this review come with Android OS, but HTC One M9 has older 5.0 version while Sony Xperia L4 has Android 9.0 Pie.

The HTC One M9 counts with a much more vibrant display than Xperia L4, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and more pixels per inch of screen. Xperia L4 has a very superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC One M9, because it has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB and 64 GB internal storage.

HTC One M9 features just a bit better hardware performance than Xperia L4, and although they both have 8 cores and the same RAM memory amount, the HTC One M9 also has a 64 bits CPU and an additional graphics processor. HTC One M9 captures way better videos and photos than Xperia L4, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for low-light photography and videos, it also counts with a lot bigger back camera sensor taking much higher quality videos and pictures, a much higher resolution camera in the back and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.

Xperia L4 counts with greater battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 26 percent larger battery capacity.
