The Xiaomi 12 Pro is much better than the Xperia L4, having a 79.6 score against 71.8. Both phones in this review have Android operating system, but Xiaomi 12 Pro has 12 version while Xperia L4 has Android 9.0 Pie. Although Xiaomi 12 Pro is heavier than the Xperia L4, it's a bit thinner and also newer.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a way better looking screen than Sony Xperia L4, because it has a much higher pixel amount per inch of screen, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 3200 and a little bigger display. The Sony Xperia L4 has more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because although it has 0 less internal memory, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits up to 512 GB.
Sony Xperia L4 has a much more powerful CPU than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi 12 Pro features improved battery lifetime than Xperia L4, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity. The Xiaomi 12 Pro captures much clearer pictures and videos than Sony Xperia L4, because it has a bigger aperture for better images and videos in low light environments, a much bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a back camera with way more mega pixels and a lot higher 7680x4320 video resolution.
