Xperia PRO-I is better than the Google Pixel 4a 5G, with a overall score of 96.3 against 87.5. The Xperia PRO-I body is newer, but a bit thicker and notably heavier than Google Pixel 4a 5G. Both devices in this review use the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding that.
Sony Xperia PRO-I counts with a much better screen than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a little bit bigger screen and a much better screen pixels density. The Sony Xperia PRO-I has a little bit better performance than Google Pixel 4a 5G, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia PRO-I also has a greater amount of RAM.
The Xperia PRO-I has a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has 512 GB internal storage capacity and a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1 TB. The Google Pixel 4a 5G's camera is very similar to the Xperia PRO-I one, because although the Google Pixel 4a 5G has worse 60 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same (4K) video definition, it also counts with a more MP back-facing camera, a larger sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures and a bigger camera aperture.
Sony Xperia PRO-I counts with a little better battery lifetime than Google Pixel 4a 5G, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3885mAh.
