Comparison review
Sony Xperia PRO has a score of 94.3, which is better than Huawei Mate 9 Pro's global score of 78.7. The Sony Xperia PRO design is way newer, but much heavier and extremely thicker than Huawei Mate 9 Pro. These phones come with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia PRO has the older 10 version and Huawei Mate 9 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo version.
The Xperia PRO has a bit more powerful processor than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia PRO also has more RAM. Xperia PRO counts with a little sharper screen than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a bigger screen, a higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels and a just a bit higher amount of pixels per screen inch.
The Xperia PRO has much more memory to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 512 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory card slot that holds up to 1 TB. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's battery lifetime is just as good as the Xperia PRO one. The Sony Xperia PRO shoots a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have a 12 megapixels resolution camera and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia PRO also has faster video frame rates, a lot larger camera sensor which offers a way better image and video quality and a way larger aperture.
Although Xperia PRO is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei Mate 9 Pro. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Huawei Mate 9 Pro, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
