Xperia sola has an overall score of 55.5, which is just a bit better than Xperia Tipo Dual's 50.5 overall score. Both of these devices include Android operating system, but the Xperia sola has a more recent 4.0.4 version and Xperia Tipo Dual has Android 4.0 version, providing the user some nice extra features. Even though Xperia sola and Xperia Tipo Dual were released with only a couple months difference, Xperia sola's design is a little heavier but also incredibly thinner than Xperia Tipo Dual.

The Sony Xperia sola counts with a bit better hardware performance than Xperia Tipo Dual, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, and they both have a 512 MB RAM, the Sony Xperia sola also counts with 1 more processing cores. Xperia sola has a better screen than Xperia Tipo Dual, because it has a greater pixels number in each inch of display, a way higher resolution of 854 x 480 and a bigger screen.

Xperia sola has a greater camera than Sony Xperia Tipo Dual, because it has a much better 1280x720 (HD) video quality and a camera with a much better 5 mega-pixels resolution. The Xperia sola has a superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xperia Tipo Dual, and although they both have an external SD slot that holds up to 32 GB, the Xperia sola also has 8 GB internal storage capacity.

Sony Xperia Tipo Dual has a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia sola, because it has 1500mAh of battery capacity instead of 1320mAh.
