HTC One M9 has a global score of 77.7, which is a bit better than Sony Xperia X Compact's 71.8 general score. Although it's the best cellphone in this comparison, it must be told that it is also an older, somewhat heavier and a little thicker cellphone. HTC One M9 counts with a much sharper display than Xperia X Compact, because it has a greater screen pixel density, a little larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1920 x 1080px.
Xperia X Compact has just a bit more storage for apps and games than HTC One M9, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Xperia X Compact also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. HTC One M9 counts with a better processor than Xperia X Compact, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM memory, the HTC One M9 also has a higher number of cores, a 64 bits processing unit and an additional graphics processor.
The HTC One M9 features just a little better battery duration than Xperia X Compact, because it has a 2840mAh battery size against 2700mAh. HTC One M9 shoots clearer videos and photos than Xperia X Compact, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting lower quality photographs and videos, a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and videos and a worse 20 megapixels resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a way better video definition.
