The HTC U Ultra has an overall score of 77, which is a little bit better than the Xperia X Compact's score of 71.8. Even though HTC U Ultra and the Xperia X Compact were only released with a couple of months difference, HTC U Ultra's design is much heavier but also thinner than the Xperia X Compact.
The HTC U Ultra has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xperia X Compact, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with more RAM memory. HTC U Ultra counts with a sharper display than Sony Xperia X Compact, because it has a much better display pixels density, a lot higher resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a bigger display.
The Xperia X Compact shoots clearer photos and videos than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for taking photos and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and a same size sensor, the Xperia X Compact also counts with faster 60 frames per second video frame rate and a much more MP back facing camera.
HTC U Ultra counts with much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia X Compact, because it has a SD memory slot that admits up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal memory. The HTC U Ultra counts with just a bit longer battery duration than Sony Xperia X Compact, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity.
