The HTC U Ultra has a score of 77, which is a bit better than Sony Xperia X's overall score of 72.9. Although HTC U Ultra is newer than the Sony Xperia X, it is heavier and just a bit thicker. The HTC U Ultra counts with a bit sharper screen than Sony Xperia X, because it has a little bit bigger display, a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a higher 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution.
The HTC U Ultra has a much greater memory for games and applications than Xperia X, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage capacity. HTC U Ultra features a little faster processing unit than Xperia X, because although it has lesser cores (but faster), it also counts with a larger amount of RAM.
HTC U Ultra features a bit superior battery life than Sony Xperia X, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity. Xperia X has a bit better camera than HTC U Ultra, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light photos, and they both have a 0.43 inches sensor and the same video resolution, the Xperia X also counts with a way higher 23 mega pixels resolution back facing camera and faster 60 fps video frame rate.
Although HTC U Ultra is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xperia X, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia X. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Xperia X, letting go a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
