Huawei Mate X features a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia X, because it has a greater number of cores (and they are faster) and 5 GB more RAM memory. The Xperia X has a superior camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a lot smaller back-facing camera sensor giving a way worse image quality, a smaller diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and video and a back facing camera with much less mega pixels.
Huawei Mate X has a very superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia X, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X features a much longer battery performance than Xperia X, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia X, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Xperia X. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Sony Xperia X, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
