Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is a bit better than Xperia X, getting a general score of 77.7 against 72.9. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's construction has the same thickness than Xperia X, but it's heavier. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features just a bit better hardware performance than Sony Xperia X, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and faster).
Sony Xperia X has a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a way smaller screen and a little bit worse 1080 x 1920px resolution, it also counts with a just a little better pixels count in each inch in the screen. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with more storage for apps and games than Xperia X, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features greater battery duration than Xperia X, because it has 3350mAh of battery capacity instead of 2620mAh. Xperia X takes just a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for capturing photographs and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video quality, the Xperia X also counts with a back camera with a lot higher 23 megapixels resolution, better 60 frames per second video frame rates and a bigger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures.
