The Galaxy A8 (2018) has a score of 79.2, which is a bit better than the Xperia XA1 Plus's overall score of 73.7. Even though the Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Xperia XA1 Plus were released only 4 months apart, the Galaxy A8 (2018) is just a little bit thinner and a bit lighter. The Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) features a slightly better looking screen than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a bit better screen density, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2220px and a little bigger display.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) features much more storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia XA1 Plus, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 256 GB, the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) also has 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus features a bit superior CPU than Galaxy A8 (2018), although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 processing cores.
