The Galaxy Alpha has an overall score of 76.3, which is slightly better than the Xperia XA1 Plus's 73.7 score. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Alpha has an older 4.4.4 version and Xperia XA1 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Galaxy Alpha is a noticeably thinner and way lighter cellphone than the Xperia XA1 Plus.

The Galaxy Alpha features a little bit better performance than Xperia XA1 Plus, because although it has lesser RAM and a lower number of cores , it also counts with a graphics co-processor. Galaxy Alpha has a bit sharper display than Xperia XA1 Plus, although it has a lot lower 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a bit lower pixels quantity in each screen inch and a bit smaller screen.

The Xperia XA1 Plus captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia XA1 Plus also has a larger camera aperture and a camera with way more MP. Sony Xperia XA1 Plus features a way bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus also has a slot for an external memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
