The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, getting a general score of 79.3 against 73.7. Both phones we are comparing have Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has the older 5.1 version while Sony Xperia XA1 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Even though Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is notably older than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, it's design is thinner and lighter.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus has just a little better processing power than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of faster cores. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 features a better looking display than Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a higher 2560 x 1440px resolution, a higher number of pixels per inch in the screen and a little bit larger screen.

Xperia XA1 Plus counts with a quite bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, because although it has just 32 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy Note 5 has a bit better camera than Xperia XA1 Plus, because although it has a smaller camera sensor and a back-facing camera with a lot worse resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better photos and videos in low-light environments and a way better 3840x2160 video quality.

Sony Xperia XA1 Plus features a bit longer battery life than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a 14% greater battery capacity.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 costs a bit more money than the Xperia XA1 Plus, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
