Galaxy Note8 is much better than the Xperia XA1 Plus, having an 83 score against 73.7. The Galaxy Note8 is a a little heavier phone than Xperia XA1 Plus, but both of them are 0.34inches thick. Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Note8 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia XA1 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo, so it provides you some extra features.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a bit better performance than Xperia XA1 Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has 3 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy Note8 has just a bit better looking display than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a little bit bigger display, a much higher 1440 x 2960 resolution and more pixels per inch of display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8's camera is very similar to Sony Xperia XA1 Plus's camera, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a smaller back camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and photos and a back camera with a way worse 12 MP resolution, it also counts with a much better video definition and a bigger aperture.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia XA1 Plus, and although they both have an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has 32 GB more internal storage. The Xperia XA1 Plus counts with just a little bit longer battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 4% larger battery capacity.

Galaxy Note8 costs more money than Xperia XA1 Plus, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
