Comparison review

The Galaxy S8 has an overall score of 81.7, which is much better than the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus's 73.7 score. Even when the Galaxy S8 and the Sony Xperia XA1 Plus were only released with a few months difference, the Galaxy S8 is somewhat lighter and a little thinner. Galaxy S8 has just a bit better display than Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a much higher resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels, a little larger screen and a higher screen density.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a very superior memory for games and applications than Xperia XA1 Plus, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has 64 GB internal memory capacity. Galaxy S8's CPU is just as good as the processor in Xperia XA1 Plus, and although the Galaxy S8 has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and Xperia XA1 Plus count with quite similar cameras, because although the Samsung Galaxy S8 has a tinier sensor capturing less light and washed colors and a camera with way less MP resolution, it also counts with a lot higher (4K) video resolution and a larger diafragm aperture to take better photography in low-light situations.

The Sony Xperia XA1 Plus features a little better battery life than Galaxy S8, because it has 3430mAh of battery capacity.

Even being the best phone in this comparison, Galaxy S8 is also a bargain compared to the other ones.
