The Xperia 1 III is a lot better than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, with a general score of 93.3 against 73.7. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xperia 1 III has the previous 11 version and Sony Xperia XA1 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Xperia 1 III's design is noticeably newer, just a bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus.

Xperia 1 III counts with a little faster processor than Xperia XA1 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia 1 III also has 9 GB more RAM memory. The Xperia 1 III features a more vivid display than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels, a way greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and a bigger display.

The Sony Xperia 1 III captures better photos and videos than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because although it has a back-facing camera with much less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a larger diafragm aperture to take better captures in low light situations and a way bigger back camera sensor which offers a lot better photo and video quality.

The Xperia 1 III counts with a much greater memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has a slot for an external memory card that holds up to 1 TB and 224 GB more internal memory capacity. Sony Xperia 1 III features greater battery performance than Sony Xperia XA1 Plus, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity against 3430mAh.

The Xperia 1 III costs a lot more than Xperia XA1 Plus, but you can get a much better phone for that few more dollars.
