Huawei Mate 8 is slightly better than the Sony Xperia XA1, getting a 77.4 score against 71.7. Huawei Mate 8 is a a lot heavier phone than the Sony Xperia XA1, but both are 0.31inches thick. Huawei Mate 8 and Xperia XA1 feature really similar CPUs, and although the Huawei Mate 8 has more RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Huawei Mate 8 has a bit more vivid screen than Xperia XA1, because it has a way higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, a bigger display and a little greater count of pixels in each inch in the screen. The Huawei Mate 8 features a much greater memory capacity for apps and games than Xperia XA1, because although it has an external memory slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xperia XA1 features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has lower 30 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same aperture, the Xperia XA1 also counts with a way more MP camera. The Huawei Mate 8 has a superior battery performance than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a 74 percent larger battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Sony Xperia XA1, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Sony Xperia XA1. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Sony Xperia XA1, letting go a couple features and specifications.
