The Samsung Galaxy Note5 has a general score of 80.2, which is much better than the Xperia XA1's overall score of 71.7. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 body is just a bit thinner than Xperia XA1, although it is heavier and was released about a year before. Sony Xperia XA1 has just a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note5, although it has 1 GB less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU.
The Galaxy Note5 has a much better display than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a way better resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels, a way greater display pixels density and a quite bigger display. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 captures just a bit better photos and videos than Xperia XA1, because although it has a tinier camera sensor taking less light and dull colors and a camera in the back with a much worse resolution, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to capture better photos in low light situations and a much better 3840x2160 video quality.
The Xperia XA1 counts with more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note5, because although it has only 32 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy Note5 counts with longer battery duration than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a 3000mAh battery capacity instead of 2300mAh.
