The Samsung Galaxy S5 is better than the Sony Xperia XA1, getting a score of 80.8 against 71.7. Although it's the best we are comparing here, we must note that it's also much older, just a little bit heavier and a little thicker. Samsung Galaxy S5 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xperia XA1, because although it has an inferior number of cores (but faster), and they both have the same RAM amount, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also counts with a graphics processing unit.
Samsung Galaxy S5 features a much more vibrant screen than Xperia XA1, because it has a bit bigger display, a much greater number of pixels per screen inch and a way better resolution of 1920 x 1080px. Sony Xperia XA1 features just a bit bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Galaxy S5, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XA1 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 256 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has a slightly better camera than Xperia XA1, because although it has a tinier camera sensor capturing lower quality videos and images, a back camera with a lot worse resolution and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for taking photos and videos in low-light situations, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Samsung Galaxy S5 has longer battery life than Sony Xperia XA1, because it has a 2800mAh battery capacity.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 costs more money than Xperia XA1, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
