Xperia XA2 Plus is slightly better than the Motorola Edge 40 Neo, getting a 78.6 score against 77. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia XA2 Plus has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Motorola Edge 40 Neo has Android 13 version. Despite being the best in this comparison, Xperia XA2 Plus is a way older, thicker and heavier phone than the Motorola Edge 40 Neo.
The Xperia XA2 Plus counts with an extremely better CPU than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, although it has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Motorola Edge 40 Neo has a bit sharper display than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has way more brightness, a little bit bigger screen, a quite higher number of pixels per inch of display and a little higher 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution.
Motorola Edge 40 Neo captures much better photos and videos than Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Motorola Edge 40 Neo also has a much bigger sensor which gives a much better image and video quality, a larger camera aperture to take better low light captures and a back-facing camera with lot more MP.
The Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a quite bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Edge 40 Neo, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 400 GB. The Motorola Edge 40 Neo counts with a superior battery duration than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
