Comparison review
The Galaxy A40 has a score of 79.6, which is a little bit better than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus's 78.6 general score. These devices have Android operating system, but Galaxy A40 has the previous 11 version and Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo. Although Galaxy A40 and the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus were released only 8 months apart, Galaxy A40 is somewhat thinner and extremely lighter.
Xperia XA2 Plus features a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Xperia XA2 Plus has a bit more vivid display than Galaxy A40, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160 and a just a little worse pixels amount per display inch, it also counts with a quite bigger display.
Galaxy A40 counts with a little bit more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Galaxy A40 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Xperia XA2 Plus takes a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for capturing pictures in low light situations, it also counts with a camera in the back with a way better resolution, a much better 3840x2160 video quality and a larger back-facing camera sensor shooting higher quality pictures and videos.
The Xperia XA2 Plus has a bit longer battery lifetime than Galaxy A40, because it has 3580mAh of battery capacity.
