Samsung Galaxy A51 is just a bit better than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, getting an 85.5 score against 78.6. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy A51 has 11 version and Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Samsung Galaxy A51's design is newer, somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus.

The Galaxy A51 has a processing unit that is very similar to the processor in Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, and although the Galaxy A51 has 2 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A51, although it has a just a bit less pixels per inch in the screen, a little bit smaller screen and a little lower 1080 x 2160 resolution.

The Galaxy A51 counts with a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 128 GB internal memory capacity and an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Galaxy A51 has just a little better battery performance than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.

Samsung Galaxy A51 takes better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same (4K) video definition and the same aperture, the Samsung Galaxy A51 also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a bigger sensor shooting higher quality photos and videos.
