Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a global score of 79.3, which is slightly better than the Xperia XA2 Plus's global score of 78.6. Both devices we compare here include Android OS, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has an older 5.1 version and Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is an noticeably older phone than Xperia XA2 Plus, but Samsung managed to make it notably thinner and somewhat lighter.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has a more vivid display than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixels number per display inch and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440. Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Galaxy Note 5, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 400 GB.

The Xperia XA2 Plus has just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note 5, because it has a higher number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. The Xperia XA2 Plus has a little bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy Note 5, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for shooting photos or videos in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a way more mega-pixels camera in the back and a bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features superior battery duration than Galaxy Note 5, because it has 3580mAh of battery capacity.
