Galaxy S8 Active is a little bit better than the Xperia XA2 Plus, getting a score of 81.9 against 78.6. Even being the best in this review, Galaxy S8 Active's construction is older, a little bit heavier and a little thicker than Xperia XA2 Plus. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a little bit better screen than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better pixels density and a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Xperia XA2 Plus has just a bit more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a SD card slot that allows a maximum of 400 GB. Xperia XA2 Plus and Galaxy S8 Active both count with very similar processing units, and although the Galaxy S8 Active has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Galaxy S8 Active counts with just a little better battery lifetime than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Xperia XA2 Plus takes just a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and video, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xperia XA2 Plus also counts with a larger back camera sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures and a camera with lot more MP.
