Xperia XA2 Plus is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with a score of 78.6 against 77.5. Although the Xperia XA2 Plus is a lot thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, it's just a little lighter and also newer. The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus counts with a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2160.
The Xperia XA2 Plus features a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a bit bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xperia XA2 Plus, because although it has an external memory slot that supports 272 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
The Xperia XA2 Plus has a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos, a camera with lot more mega pixels and a way bigger camera sensor capturing lot better quality videos and pictures.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a really longer battery duration than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity instead of 3580mAh.
