Comparison review
The Xperia XZ Premium has a score of 79.8, which is a bit better than the Xperia XA2's score of 74.8. The Xperia XZ Premium body is somewhat thinner but somewhat heavier than Xperia XA2, and both were only released with a couple of months difference. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a brighter display than Xperia XA2, because it has a quite larger display, a way better 2160 x 3840 resolution, a lot more pixels per screen inch and more brightness.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a little better performance than Xperia XA2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has 1 GB more RAM. Xperia XA2 features a bit better camera than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, the same diafragm aperture, the same back-facing camera sensor size and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XA2 also has a back facing camera with a better 23 megapixels resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features much more storage to install applications and games than Xperia XA2, and although they both have a SD memory card expansion slot that admits up to 256 GB, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has 32 GB more internal storage capacity. The Sony Xperia XA2 features a little better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 3300mAh battery capacity instead of 3230mAh.
