Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XA2, having a 79 score against 74.8. Even though Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and the Sony Xperia XA2 were only released 2 months apart, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact construction is way thicker but a little lighter. The Xperia XZ2 Compact has a bit better processor than Sony Xperia XA2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has more RAM memory.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a bit more vivid screen than Xperia XA2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160, a quite better pixels amount in each display inch and a brighter display. Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with a superior storage capacity for applications and games than Xperia XA2, because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that admits a maximum of 400 GB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.
The Sony Xperia XA2 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 15% larger battery capacity. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a little bit better camera than Sony Xperia XA2, although it has a back-facing camera with a lower resolution and a lower 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, they both have the same sensor size and the same aperture.
