The Xperia XZ Premium is a bit better than the Huawei Mate 20, getting a general score of 79.8 against 79.5. Xperia XZ Premium's body is just a little thinner than Huawei Mate 20, but it is just a little heavier and was released around a year before. Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a much better display than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a little smaller display and less brightness, it also counts with a lot better pixels number per inch of screen and a lot better resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels.
Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little better performance than Xperia XZ Premium. They have a Octa-Core CPU and a 4 GB RAM. The Xperia XZ Premium features a little bit better memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with an external memory card slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for taking images or videos in low light environments, and they both have the same camera sensor size, the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a much more mega-pixels camera in the back.
