Xperia XZ Premium has a score of 79.8, which is a bit better than Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 general score. Although Xperia XZ Premium is better than Motorola Edge 40, we must note that it's also a incredibly older, a little bit thicker and somewhat heavier phone. Xperia XZ Premium counts with a much better looking screen than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a quite smaller display and way more opaque display, it also counts with a much higher number of pixels per inch in the display and a much higher 2160 x 3840px resolution.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has slightly more memory to install games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has just 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 256 GB. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
Motorola Edge 40 features a much better camera than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a way bigger camera sensor which offers a much higher image and video quality, a lot bigger camera aperture for better low light captures and videos and a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.
Motorola Edge 40 features a very superior battery life than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 4400mAh battery size.
