The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has an overall score of 79.8, which is a bit better than the Moto G8 Plus's 77.6 overall score. Although Sony Xperia XZ Premium is extremely older and a bit heavier than Moto G8 Plus, it's body is still somewhat thinner. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a bit better performance than Moto G8 Plus. Both have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM.

The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a much more vibrant display than Moto G8 Plus, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher amount of pixels per display inch and a much higher 2160 x 3840 resolution. Motorola Moto G8 Plus counts with a bit more memory to install games and applications than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Motorola Moto G8 Plus also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.

The Moto G8 Plus features a superior camera than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Moto G8 Plus also has a larger aperture for better low-light captures, a much more megapixels back camera and a larger camera sensor taking higher quality videos and pictures.
