Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has an overall score of 81.9, which is a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ Premium's 79.8 general score. Despite being the best phone in this review, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is an extremely thicker and a bit heavier phone than the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a bit superior processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. They have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 pixels and a better pixels density. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium captures just a bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not nice for shooting pictures and video in low-light situations, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a back facing camera with a much higher 19 mega-pixels resolution and a larger sensor providing a higher image quality.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's memory for games and applications is very similar to Sony Xperia XZ Premium's one, they have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Galaxy S8 Active has better battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
