Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is just a bit better than Xperia XZ Premium's global score of 79.8. The Sony Xperia 1 design is newer and just a little lighter, but also just a little thicker than the Xperia XZ Premium. The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a little faster CPU than Xperia XZ Premium, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

The Xperia XZ Premium features a little bit better looking display than Xperia 1, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better count of pixels per screen inch, a bit higher 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution and way more display brightness. The Sony Xperia 1 has a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 512 GB and more internal memory capacity.

Xperia XZ Premium takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for capturing pictures in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xperia XZ Premium also counts with a camera with lot more mega pixels, a bigger sensor providing a better image quality and faster 30 frames per second video frame rates.
