Comparison review
Xperia XZ Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2's global score of 77.5. Although Xperia XZ Premium and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 were released only a couple of months apart, the Xperia XZ Premium construction is a bit thicker but also just a little lighter. The Xperia XZ Premium has a much more vibrant display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much better 2160 x 3840px resolution and a way higher amount of pixels per screen inch.
The Xperia XZ Premium counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. They have 8 processing cores and the same RAM amount. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a very superior battery duration than Xperia XZ Premium, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity against 3230mAh. Sony Xperia XZ Premium takes clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has a bigger aperture, a lot higher 19 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a way larger sensor taking much higher quality videos and pictures.
