IPhone XS has a score of 84.2, which is better than Sony Xperia XZ's 73.5 overall score. The iPhone XS design is newer and a little thinner, but a bit heavier than Sony Xperia XZ. The iPhone XS has just a bit better looking screen than Xperia XZ, because it has a little more pixels per inch in the screen, a bit larger display and a quite better resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels.
Xperia XZ counts with a greater memory to install applications and games than Apple iPhone XS, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Apple iPhone XS features a better CPU than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a 64-bits processing unit, a larger number of cores and 1 GB more RAM.
Xperia XZ counts with just a little better battery life than iPhone XS, because it has a 2900mAh battery size. Xperia XZ captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Apple iPhone XS, because although it has worse 30 fps video frame rate and a smaller aperture, and they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xperia XZ also counts with a lot more MP back-facing camera and a larger camera sensor which gives a better image and video quality.
Although iPhone XS is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Sony Xperia XZ, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Sony Xperia XZ. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy iPhone XS, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia XZ, giving up a couple features and specs.
