Huawei P20 Pro has an overall score of 81.4, which is much better than the Xperia XZ's global score of 73.5. Huawei P20 Pro's construction is newer and a bit thinner than the Xperia XZ's, although it's heavier. Huawei P20 Pro and Xperia XZ have quite similar displays, because although the Huawei P20 Pro has a just a little worse pixels count per inch in the screen, it also counts with a bigger display and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2240px.
Huawei P20 Pro counts with a bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Sony Xperia XZ, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. The Huawei P20 Pro has a little faster processing unit than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has more cpu cores and a higher amount of RAM.
The Huawei P20 Pro features a really longer battery lifetime than Sony Xperia XZ, because it has a 38 percent bigger battery capacity. Huawei P20 Pro features a much better camera than Xperia XZ, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same video definition, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a way better 40 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera, a much bigger sensor and a larger aperture.
The Huawei P20 Pro costs more than Xperia XZ, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
